CJ CGV announced on the 3rd the 'Arco Live' project, which will screen two musicals selected for the 'Creative Arts Production of the Year' organized by the Korea Arts Council.
Arco Live is a project that transforms outstanding performing arts content into video for theater viewing, and the Arts Council and CJ CGV have been jointly promoting this project since 2019.
The works being screened this year are the original musicals <Rappaccini's Daughter> and <Oji Ge Jae Mi Neun Gashina Deul>.
Set to be released on the 9th, <Rappaccini's Daughter> is inspired by the short story 'Rappaccini's Daughter' by American author Nathaniel Hawthorne, and is regarded as a work that explores the complexities of love and the inner fears of humanity through beautiful music.
Set to be released on the 23rd, <Oji Ge Jae Mi Neun Gashina Deul> is based on the documentary film <Chilgok Gashina Deul> and the essay 'Aging Fun' and depicts the process of grandmothers, who have just started learning Hangul, writing poetry and redefining and pioneering their lives.
These two works will be available for viewing at 13 CGV theaters nationwide, including Yongsan I-Park Mall, Daehakro, Seomyeon, and Gwangju Sangmu.
