Tving announced on the 3rd that actor Kim Jae-won has been cast as the male lead, the role of Sun-rok, in the original series <Yumi's Cells> Season 3, which is returning after three years.
This drama is based on the popular webtoon by Lee Dong-gun, depicting the daily life and love story of the protagonist Yumi through the unique perspective of the cells in her head.
In Season 3, Yumi's new journey as she leaves her job and pursues her dream of becoming a writer will be portrayed. This season is also produced by director Lee Sang-yeob and writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran, who contributed to the success of the previous series.
The role of the protagonist Yumi will again be played by actress Kim Go-eun, while the role of PD Sun-rok from the Julie Literary Agency, who becomes connected with Yumi, has been awarded to Kim Jae-won, who has delivered impressive performances in <Okja> and <King the Land>.
Additionally, the role of Yumi's assistant writer Baek Na-hee will be played by Jo Hye-jung, and the role of the representative writer Kim Joo-ho from the Julie Literary Agency will be portrayed by Choi Daniel. Major actors such as Jeon Seok-ho, Mi-ram, Seong Ji-roo, and Lee Yu-bi, who collaborated in Seasons 1 and 2, are also expected to appear in Season 3.
